I am a PhD student in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California.

I investigate how artificial intelligence (AI) shapes the production, circulation, and interpretation of political and persuasive messages. My work examines how AI reshapes the authenticity of communication, intervenes in public opinion formation, and thereby reconfigures contemporary public spheres.

Another pillar of my research examines the social and cognitive psychological mechanisms—such as information processing and persuasion—that shape how people interpret and respond to messages in AI-mediated communication, and how these mechanisms shape belief formation, judgment, and decision-making.

While I pursue a path as a theorist grounded in empirical research to identify timely and salient research agendas, I also aim to help address pressing social issues through social scientific approaches.
